Littering is a very bad thing, and many people, animals, and neighborhoods may suffer due to littering problems. In fact 56.2 billion pieces of litter are dropped onto roadways or public areas every year. Moreover, billions of tons of litter is dumped into oceans and waterways every year.
Why do people Litter?
It is widely believed that littering is caused by several factors. One of these is a lack of responsibility. If somebody feels no responsibility for the public areas around them, they may be inclined to litter, with the mindset that someone else should pick up after them. In response, more people will litter an area will only become filthier, unless we do something about it.
